What Is The Best Way To Care For My Cake After I Receive It?
The best way to care for your cake is to make sure it is placed in the refrigerator and taken out 30-40minutesbefore you cut the cake. If refrigeration is not an option, the cake must be kept away from direct sunlight or heat but can be kept in a cooled room for approximately two hours. The Velvet Crumb cannot guarantee your cake will not melt as it is covered in buttercream, so the BEST way to ensure your cake will be stable is to placeit in the refrigerator.
Does My Cake Need Refrigeration?
Yes! Please read above.
After I Pick Up My Cake, Where Is It Best To Place It In My Car?
Cakes should never be placed on the seat of a car. The best place for your cake to be transported is a cool and ventilated trunk (A/C is needed in warmer months) or on the floor of your car. Temperature is important! Make sure your car has the air conditioning on if it is warm outside. Do not have the heat on as it will melt the buttercream.
